Mamelodi Sundowns’ young sensation Asekho Tiwani is making headlines against the backdrop of his birthday.
Asekho Tiwani turned a year older, and the seasoned Premier League Winners took to social media to celebrate with the fast-rising star.

Taking to Instagram Stories, the club posted a short birthday post that has since set social media abuzz. Masandawana posted, ‘Happy Birthday Asekho Tiwani.’
The club added, “Join us as we wish our young defender Asekho Tiwani a very happy birthday today! We hope you have a fantastic day, Asekho!”
Against the post, fans and fellow footballers quickly flooded their social media feeds with warm birthday wishes.
However, against the trends, The South African has connected the dots about Asekho Tiwani’s age.
Since being thrust into the limelight, he has undoubtedly managed to keep his private life under wraps, leaving many to guess even about his age.
After all, the Mamelodi Sundowns star is younger than he looks. However, according to reports, the star is now 20 years old since he was reportedly 19. Little is known about his place of birth.
Surprisingly, Mamelodi Sundowns’ post downplays reports that peddled that the star was born in May instead of October.
After all, he knows how to look sharp and fit as an athlete. Asekho Tiwani joins a host of footballers and ex-players who recently celebrated their birthdays.

Despite his recent big wins, little is known about Asekho Tiwani’s youth career. The youngster signed for the Chloorkop-based outfit in July 2024 from Limpopo club Sekhukhune United.
In July, Mamelodi Sundowns confirmed his signing with a media statement.
The club posted, “Mamelodi Sundowns are delighted to announce the acquisition of young defender Asekho Tiwani, who joins the club on a multi-year deal.
“The 19 year-old defender has made a name for himself in the Premier Soccer League at his former club, with his highlights including a Goal of the Season nominated strike in the 2023/24 season.
“The versatile Tiwani is the latest addition to the Brazilians’ squad ahead of the 2024/25 campaign. He will now focus on joining his teammates in gearing up for the season.”
