Worrying Patrick Mahomes stats reveals Kansas City Chiefs QB is struggling while Travis Kelce issues continue

THE Kansas City Chiefs may be 3-0 this season, but there is some reason to be concerned about their production in the future.

Both Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are seeing some struggles to start the year, and the Chiefs offense looks less potent than in the past.

In his last eight regular season games, Mahomes has looked relatively human.

He’s thrown for over 300 yards just once in that span and paired it only 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

The Chiefs quarterback passed for just 240 yards per game across that stretch.

On top of that, Mahomes has been sacked 17 teams over that eight-game span.

It is worth noting that Mahomes does turn things up in the playoffs, and he had a spectacular Super Bowl run this year.

In four games of the 2023 postseason, Mahomes passed for six touchdowns with only one interception.

He passed for over 1,000 yards during his quest for the Chiefs’ second-consecutive Super Bowl win.

NFL fans recognized this too, and commended Mahomes for turning up his talent when it really counts.

“I’ll take mediocre stats al day if it means being clutch and playing your best when it matters most,” one fan said.

“Dude is clutch when it counts,” another fan said.

“Not Awful: he also won the last two super bowls and is 3-0 so far this year,” a third fan said.

“Mahomes doesn’t care about the regular season,” a fourth fan said.

“Style points down, super bowls up. I think he’ll take it,” a fifth fan said.

Alongside Mahomes’ struggles, Kelce is having a horrid start to his 2024 season.

In the Chiefs first three games, Kelce has only caught eight passes for 69 yards with no touchdowns.

Kelce isn’t worrying about his struggles yet, and is more focused on winning ballgames.

“I’ve had a lot of catches in this league, man,” Kelce said.

“I’m not worried about the catches and the yards, and all of that. I have the most fun when I get the ball thrown my way, I mean, who doesn’t?

“It has everything to do with execution and just making sure we’re doing everything we can to win these football games. That’s always going to be the goal.

“I think everyone saw my drop in the fourth quarter and the crucial third down, just trying to do too much before putting the ball away.”
