Worrying Malik Nabers injury update as New York Giants superstar gives grim response to teammate over concussion fears

NFL rookie sensation Malik Nabers looks to be worse for wear after suffering an injury in Week 3.

The New York Giants wide receiver suffered a concussion late in the Thursday Night Football game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Nabers has only played four games in the NFL after being drafted by the Giants, but he has already proven himself to be a superstar in the league.

In four games, Nabers already compiled 386 receiving yards and scored three touchdowns.

Both of those numbers were the highest marks among all players in the league.

However, Nabers is now in jeopardy of missing time due to his concussion.

There is some concern about the severity of his concussion too, as reporters noticed a worrying interaction between Nabers and his teammates in the locker room after the game.

According to ESPN reporter Jordan Raanan, Nabers told teammates that he wasn’t okay after the injury.

“Leek, you good?” Brian Burnes reportedly said to Nabers.

In response to the question, Raanan said that Nabers shook his head no before talking to head coach Brian Daboll in the locker room.

Giants fans shared their thoughts about Nabers’ injury on social media, with many saying he was being used too much.

“Giants going to run that man into the ground just like Saquon,” one fan said.

“Relying too much on Nabers is not a smart formula,” another fan said.

“Don’t mess with a concussion,” a third fan said.

“He hit the ground pretty hard. Hopefully he’s ok,” a fourth fan said.

“Didn’t look good. He got hit hard that one time and stayed down for a bit then the next few hits he was slow to get up,” a fifth fan said.

The only good news about Nabers’ injury is the amount of recovery time he is going to get.

Since the Giants played on Thursday Night Football, they have an extended period of time before playing their next game.

The Giants have 10 days until they face off against the Seattle Seahawks, and Nabers could clear the concussion protocol by then.

Even if he does clear the protocol, it’s possible the Giants could hold their rookie star out for the Week 5 contest to make sure he gets entirely healthy.

Nabers has a long career of stardom ahead of him, and the Giants won’t want to rush him back and risk his health.
