AN ELDERLY woman has been decapitated after plunging from the 28th floor of a New York apartment block.
Horrified witnesses have revealed the 80-year-old was found on the floor with her head and arm cut clean off her body.
Witnesses said her body got caught on something during the fall with some believing it was likely a balcony edge that caused the terrifying decapitation.
A shocked resident told The Post: “I pulled up just as she was laying there, she had no head.
“The head and the arm were clean cut off on the other side, they ended up on the terrace.”
The unidentified woman plunged off from the 28th floor of the tony Park Regis Apartments at about 3:30pm on Saturday, cops said.
Her clothes were later discovered stuck on a fence near the bottom of the building.
Witnesses say the fence was left badly bent from the impact.
A 23-year-old who saw the ordeal unfold said: “Everyone started rushing towards the body but she was gone.
“Her body landed there but her head and leg hit the fence there, you can see it’s bent, there were clothes and blood stuck there.”
