Mendeecees has been a member of the show’s main cast since season ten aired in 2021, chronicling his high-profile relationship with Yandy Smith.
The rapper hails from Harlem, New York City, just like his wife Yandy, and owns the Beat Factory Studio in The Bronx.
Mendeecees has two kids of his own from two previous relationships with Samantha Wallace and Erika DeShazo, aged 19 and 13, respectively.
The ladies man also has a child with wife Yandy, bringing up the total to four kids.
He even enjoyed a short-lived fling with Rashidah Ali – daughter of Muhammad Ali.
Jail
Mendeecees was imprisoned for a year for drug trafficking which put a spanner in the works.
The rapper’s legal issues meant he was forced to turn himself in and awaited sentencing during season four of the show, according to The Express Tribune.
He still appeared on the show through phone calls with wife Yandy while locked up in season four and made a return in season five after getting bail.
She gave birth to their second child shortly after and they wed on air in a Love & Hip Hop wedding special but the businesswoman admitted her TV wedding is not legally recognised.
In season six, Mendeecees was sentenced to eight years in prison and turned himself in once again.
Infidelity
But rumours have surfaced that the dad-of-three has been unfaithful, as seen during the season finale of Love & Hip Hop where reality star Jasmine Bleu confronted Mendeeceees for allegedly sleeping with another woman.
Jasmine said: “She works at the same bar as me, and you’ve been to both of our bars” but the rapper denied knowing her and said he only went to the bar for a quick drink.
Jasmine also revealed that her pal Erica Racine has connections with a woman Mendeecees is allegedly connected to, but refuses to say who it is.
It’s not the first time there’s been trouble in paradise. Love & Hip Hop’s Zell Swag made similar claims early on in the season.
Fans’ eyes have also been on Mendeecees’s hands which have been spotted without a ring on his wedding finger recently.
