Storylines: San Jose State has used two quarterbacks, Emmett Brown and Walker Eget, and alternated at quarterback five times during its 31-24 loss at Colorado State last week. … The Spartans look to avoid falling to 2-2 in conference play. … Wide receiver Nick Nash has been held to under double digit receptions in back-to-back games after being added to the 2024 Biletnikoff Award Watch List. Nash still leads the nation with 62 receptions and has caught at least one TD pass in each of SJSU’s first six games. … SJSU needs to win two of its final six regular season games to become bowl eligible.

Matchup to watch: Wyoming defensive end Sabastian Harsh vs. SJSU left tackle Malik Williams. Harsh had four tackles for loss last week against San Diego State, one was a sack.

Injuries:  SJSU: Wide receiver Malikhi Miller and defensive Quincy Likio are out for the season. Wyoming: Linebacker Connor Shay (shoulder) and offensive guard Alex Conn (lower body) are out this week against SJSU according to Cowboys first-year head coach Jay Sawvel, the latest to an ever-growing list of injured Cowboys.
