Wendy Williams’ ex-husband Kevin Hunter demands divorce be overturned because she ‘hid $48m from him’ in settlement

WENDY Williams’ ex-husband Kevin Hunter has demanded their divorce be overturned and claimed she hid $48million from him in their settlement.

According to court documents exclusively obtained by The U.S. Sun, Kevin Hunter is petitioning the court to “vacate and set aside” their final divorce judgment.

“I am making this certification in support of my Notice of Motion to Vacate and Set Aside the Marital Settlement Agreement (MSA), and the Final Judgement of Divorce….based on fraud, misrepresentation, and misconduct,” Kevin stated in his filing.

In a Wells Fargo portfolio report from May 2019, submitted into the case by her guardian, Wendy, 60, appeared to have $7,319,032.15 in what is listed as her “total holdings.”

However, as The U.S. Sun previously reported, the former daytime TV host’s best friend, Regina Schell, submitted an affidavit into the divorce proceedings alleging that Wendy had a total of $55million in her accounts as of 2022.

‘DEFRAUDED’ IN DIVORCE

That’s where Kevin claims he was defrauded.

“Plaintiff Wendy Williams, while in the company of [Regina] presented bank statements that revealed that she had approximately $55 Million Dollars in the summer of 2022.

“This money was fraudulently concealed in the divorce,” Kevin alleged.

In her response filing, Wendy’s guardian Sabrina Morrissey claimed that Kevin was aware of the various accounts Wendy held, and she addressed the affidavit filed by the host’s best friend claiming she had another $48million in the bank.

“Turning briefly to the Affidavit Regina submitted by Defendant, I cannot address what [Regina] thinks she saw or heard, what a third person thinks she heard, or what that third person may or may not have reported to [Regina].

“In his papers, [Kevin] affirmatively states that [Wendy] showed [Regina] her financial statements.

“[Kevin] was not there and has no personal knowledge of whether or not this interaction occurred,” the guardian said in her filing on Wendy’s behalf.

Wendy’s guardian argues that at the time of the divorce, Kevin stated he “was fully satisfied and understood the process and had consulted with professionals to be fully aware of the assets and his rights with regard to such assets,” and that as such, “he has absolutely no case to reopen the divorce proceeding.”

$55 MILLION AFFIDAVIT

In an affidavit submitted to a New Jersey court over the summer and exclusively obtained by The U.S. Sun, Wendy‘s best friend of 44 years, Regina, claimed to have seen the star’s Wells Fargo bank statements.

In the affidavit, the star’s friend said that in July of 2022 she stayed with the former TV host in New York City for “an extended period.”

She said it was during that long visit that Wendy said she wanted to explore other financial avenues for her estate and “specifically a possible change with her current financial institution.

Wendy Williams Alcohol-Related Brain Damage, Aphasia & Frontotemporal Dementia Diagnoses

By The U.S. Sun’s Senior Reporter Jessica Finn, who has reported on Wendy Williams for the past seven years.

As The U.S. Sun exclusively reported, Wendy Williams was diagnosed with alcohol-related brain damage in 2019 during a rehab stint in Florida.

An insider explained that a brain scan was done as part of Wendy’s rehab stay in Delray Beach.

A neurologist sat down with the star, her son, and her then-husband, Kevin Hunter Sr.

“The doctor explained to them that Wendy was suffering from alcohol-related brain damage.

“They told her that her alcohol abuse had done permanent damage to the layers in her brain,” the insider said.

“She was warned then and there that if she continued to drink, the damage would only get worse.”

In that meeting, they gave Wendy a devastating prognosis.

The doctors at the rehab foretold of the eventual decline of Wendy’s cognitive abilities, which have become apparent to those who have come in contact with the star in recent years.

“They told her that if she kept drinking she would continue to grow more forgetful, that she wouldn’t remember people’s names, and eventually, she could forget who people even were,” the source said.

After a comment call was sent to Wendy’s team, they released a statement saying Wendy had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia in 2023.

“The decision to share this news was difficult and made after careful consideration, not only to advocate for understanding and compassion for Wendy, but to raise awareness about aphasia and frontotemporal dementia and support the thousands of others facing similar circumstances,” the statement read.

“She also shared with me documents from Wells Fargo showing a cumulative balance of nearly $55 million.”

The friend also claimed that in December of that year, Wendy invited her to a meeting with Bank of America.

Regina said she was present during the entire presentation with senior advisors at Bank of America’s Private Banking Group, in which they outlined the “best products available” to the daytime TV host.

The friend said after the meeting, she, Wendy and Wendy’s guardian, Sabrina were all in the same vehicle on their way to a courthouse,

Days later, a dramatic turn took place and Wendy’s publicist claimed to have overheard a conversation between the host and her guardian, where Sabrina told her “there is no money in Wendy’s accounts.”

Regina submitted the affidavit in Wendy and Kevin’s divorce case.

Kevin continues to battle with Wendy’s guardian in court over payments from their martial settlement agreement ceasing after Wells Fargo froze Wendy’s accounts and her guardian, Sabrina, took over the star’s affairs.

Meanwhile, while the divorce case between Kevin and Wendy grows more contentious with her guardian representing her in a New Jersey court, there are also questions Kevin has posed about if the New York guardian is even allowed to be acting on the former host’s behalf in the Garden State.

WHO CAN REPRESENT WENDY?

As The U.S. Sun recently reported, Kevin has argued her New York-based guardian, Sabrina, is not allowed to represent Wendy in the New Jersey court.

The judge in the divorce case has given Wendy’s guardian 21 days to prove to the court that she has authority to represent Wendy in New Jersey.

Kevin has argued that Sabrina is not an attorney barred in New Jersey, where the divorce is held.

He also is arguing she is not a party to the divorce case, a

In a filing in July, Kevin argued that Wendy’s guardian is not an attorney barred in New Jersey, and he questioned her right to represent the former TV host.

“Ms. Morrissey’s ‘pro se’ representation of Ms. Wendy Williams is akin to practicing law without a license as she is neither a barred attorney, nor a Guardian appointed by a New Jersey Court.”

He also took issue with Sabrina representing Wendy ‘pro se.’

He argued that Pro Se’ “means you are representing yourself in court without a lawyer,” and that the guardian “not a party to the divorce and therefore should not be involved in this preceding.”
