The moment came as Robbie and his wife Ayda Field were appearing as experts on popular BBC Saturday night show, Michael McIntyre‘s The Wheel.

In The Sun’s exclusive first-look at the brand new episode, Robbie is seen making it up as he goes along as he fails to correctly recall the lyrics to one of his biggest hits.

On the programme, Robbie himself is a specialist subject on the show but unfortunately for the hopeful wanting to bag the cash, he ended up with Keith Lemon as his celebrity pairing for the question instead.

Micheal read out the question to the contestant, named Steve, which was: “In which of these songs does Robbie ask you to find him in the Yellow Pages?”

Having mulled over the potential answers, the contestant plucks for Let Me Entertain You.

Rather than revealing if it is correct in the usual manner, comedian Michael asks Robbie to take over the show and sing the answer for all to hear.

In a rather embarrassing moment, Robbie looks around the room before confessing: “I don’t know what the words are!”

As his celeb co-stars are left in hysterics, Robbie attempts to sing the hit as he goes: “Something, something, rock of ages.

“I will be you’re something, something… Yellow Pages… let me entertain you!”

Keith and the contestant were seen yelling with excitement as Robbie was able to confirm that they were indeed correct.

It comes after Robbie’s appearance came as a huge surprise to show host Michael and his wife, Ayda.

Ayda was originally signed up to the show as a solo expert but Robbie soon gatecrashed the show’s set much to everyone’s excitement.

Arriving in dramatic fashion, the former Take That star rose up from the depths of the studio floor.

Michael, 48, exclaimed: “No! That’s done something weird to my brain. Okay, so hi, how’s it going?”

Robbie then introduced himself just like any other contestant, saying: “I’m Robbie, I’m 50 and I’m from Stoke-On-Trent.

“I’m aquarius and I auditioned for a pop band and I got in and they were called Take That.”

Asked what he’d do with any potential prize money, the singer replied: “I need to figure out a way to pay for my wife’s glam. To keep my wife in handbags, shoes and foundation.”
