VIRGIN Media is making eight premium channels free for TV viewers throughout October to keep the kids entertained.
From tomorrow (October 1) channels that you usually have to pay extra for will be unlocked until the end of the month.
Cartoon Network is top of the list of channels[/caption]
Nickelodeon, home to SpongeBob SquarePants, is also available this month[/caption]
The list includes several big names in children’s television, such as Cartoon Network and Sky Kids.
These would normally set customers back £5 extra a month.
The Nickelodeon channels are also part of the giveaway, with the main channel, Nick Jr, Nick Jr Too and Nicktoons.
Virgin Media says the offering will provide watchers with access to hundreds of kid’s shows.
Better still, telly fans don’t have to wait for their favourite shows to appear on the channels.
The deal provides access to on-demand as well to watch content when you want.
It all comes at a good time too, with the autumn half term around the corner.

Virgin Media customers do not need to do anything on their account to redeem the freebie, all the channels will be automatically unlocked on Tuesday until 6am on October 31.

When is the autumn half term?
These limited time free channels come at a great time for the half term.
The autumn half term dates vary depending on where you like and the local authority.
But generally, for England and Wales it’s Monday 28 October to Friday 1 November.
In Scotland it’s a bit earlier.
The mid-term break dates are from Monday 14 to Friday 25 October 2024.
Meanwhile, in Northern Ireland it’s a shorter break, with two days off on Thursday 31 October and Friday 1 November.
