VANESSA Feltz grimaced as she reacted to Wynne Evans’ wandering hand on Strictly Come Dancing.
The TV presenter demanded an explanation as to why the Go Compare star apologised – despite claiming it was an “inside joke”.
Vanessa, 62, screwed up her face when she was played back the footage of 52-year-old Wynne moving his hand over dance parter Katya’s midriff.
Speaking on This Morning she said: “In the light of everything bubbling, fizzing beneath the surface of Strictly, which we’re far too aware about, all we really want to do is enjoy the dancing, hear the music, look at the costumes and have a lovely time.”
Show bosses say they will not be looking into the situation further after Katya and Wynne were checked on by the welfare team.
However, having analysed the viral videos, fans are asking: “If it was a joke, why is nobody laughing?”
Vanessa appeared to agree, ranting: “What are they saying sorry for?
“What did they do wrong? When he says ‘sorry’, you think well why are you sorry? What did you do? What happened that you had to apologise?”
The presenter – who competed on Strictly with James Jordan in 2013 – has also slammed the show’s ‘touchy feely’ attitude.
Speaking out about the fallout today, Wynne said: “I’m absolutely heartbroken by the things that have been written about me in the last day.”
He added: “It’s not nice to live in that time, but basically Katya and I are really, really close and we’re really good friends, and on Saturday night we made a stupid joke.
“It was a stupid joke that went wrong, OK? We thought it was funny. It wasn’t funny. It has been totally misinterpreted.”
