Two women arrested on suspicion of operating brothel out of San Jose home, police say

Two women were arrested on suspicion of operating a brothel out of a house in San Jose after a month-long investigation, according to a police department press release.

The suspects are Xiaohong Yang, a 55-year-old resident of Mountain View, and Mei-Chen Juan, a 53-year-old resident of San Jose. They were arrested on suspicion of human trafficking and booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail.

On Sept. 11, the San Jose Police Department Human Trafficking Task Force had and used a warrant to search a house on the 2700 block of McKee Road that allegedly was used as a brothel.

Two women, who were human trafficking survivors, were found and SJPD provided resources to them.

SJPD Downtown Services Unit, METRO, Street Crimes Unit, 290 Team and SJPD patrol officers assisted with the operation.
