True crime tour explores the minds of infamous murderers

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — A true crime tour is making a pit stop in Pueblo and it aims to take audiences on a journey to learn the twisted minds of infamous murderers.

‘The Psychology of a Murderer,’ is the newest true crime touring production hosted by forensic psychologist and criminal expert Dr. Rachel Toles. Her goal is to bring insight into the topic of true crime, debunk myths, and answer questions surrounding serial killers and criminal psychology.

Dr. Toles will dive into the minds of murderers and the motives of killers such as Jeffrey Dahmer, the Menendez Brothers, Aaron Hernandez, Chris Watts, Aileen Wuornos, and more.

“This show is unique in that we’ll be exploring the root causes, uncovering the childhood experiences, the family dynamics, and the critical breaking points that can lead to these later tragedies,” said Dr. Toles.

Dr. Toles became “fascinated” with true crime when she witnessed the death of a young girl. She has since dedicated her life and career to understanding the motivations, behaviors, and patterns of dangerous criminals.

The show examines what lies behind the decision to commit murder such as: What are the escalation points? Do some people snap, while others make a clear and conscious decision? Dr. Toles aims to answer these questions and also showcase her formula that offers a deeper understanding of what turns ordinary people into murderers.

Audience members will have the chance to submit questions during intermission to Dr. Toles for a live Q&A session.

The show will take place on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Pueblo Memorial Hall. Pre-sale of tickets begins Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 10 a.m. — use fan presale code EXPERT — public ticket sales begin Friday, Oct. 25.

The tour will be visiting more than 40 U.S. cities, including Pueblo and Boulder, Colorado. To purchase tickets, click the link above.
