Travis Kelce sends major warning to Kansas City Chiefs teammates in locker room despite San Francisco 49ers win

TRAVIS KELCE sent a major warning to his Kansas City Chiefs teammates – despite beating the San Francisco 49ers.

The Chiefs ran out 28-18 victors in California on Sunday.

But Kelce was quick to remind his fellow stars that they must change their attitude when they face the Las Vegas Raiders next.

That is because the Raiders remain the last team to beat the Chiefs, securing a Christmas Day win at Arrowhead Stadium at the end of last year.

Kelce, 35, lost his cool during the defeat.

He furiously slammed his helmet on the sidelines and even appeared to get into a heated row with coach Andy Reid.

However, Taylor Swift’s boyfriend is determined to make sure the back-to-back Super Bowl champions do not suffer a repeat slip-up.

His locker-room rallying cry ahead of next weekend’s showdown certainly attempted to inspire his side to another important win.

But Kelce knows any complacency could come back to haunt the Chiefs.

He said: “I think we found out last year that if we don’t have the right mindset going into this game, this team can beat us.

“That’s every team in the NFL but this rivalry in the AFC West division, that’s always a big game – no matter who we are playing in the division.

“The Raiders, that is always a tough opponent.”

Kansas City secured a repeat result of February’s Super Bowl by beating the 49ers on Sunday, helped by a Patrick Mahomes touchdown.

They moved their 2024 NFL season record to 6-0 – despite losing JuJu Smith-Schuster to a recurring hamstring injury.

Kelce added: “It’s about us, it’s about us getting better throughout the year.

“The message was to go out there and play together.

“There are a lot of doubters with what we can do offensively right now with the guys that we’ve got.

“We showed everyone we can put up points today.

“I love every single guy on this team. That’s our mentality – next guy up.

“Everybody feels their role, they want that opportunity to get out there and show the world that we’ve got everybody we need right here to win a championship.”
