Eglin Federal Credit Union (EFCU) has appointed Cathie Staton as its new President and CEO, effective Oct. 28, 2024. Staton, a 35-year veteran of the credit union, will succeed Jerry Williams, who is retiring after 30 years with the organization, the last decade as President and CEO.

Under Williams’ leadership, EFCU saw significant growth, with assets increasing by over $1 billion to nearly $2.9 billion and membership expanding to 124,000 worldwide. Williams was also heavily involved in community and military engagement, earning the prestigious General Lewis H. Brereton Award for his contributions to local military bases.

Dan McInnis, Chair of the EFCU Board of Directors, expressed gratitude for Williams’ dedication and leadership, noting that Staton’s experience and vision make her an ideal successor. Staton has served as Executive Vice President for the past two years, spearheading key initiatives, including the expansion of EFCU’s membership field and a brand refresh in 2019.

“I am thrilled to have been selected as the next President/CEO of Eglin Federal Credit Union,” said Staton, who has been part of the executive team for 22 years and a resident of Niceville, Florida, for 37 years. She looks forward to continuing EFCU’s mission of providing excellent financial services to its members.
