‘This is giving me PTSD’ fashion fans scream over football WAG’s outfit that’s ‘pure Internacionale vibes’

FASHION fans have joked a football WAG is giving them PTSD after she “Y2K’d too close to the sun” in a recent outfit.

Jilly Cross, from Glasgow, is married to ex-Rangers and current Motherwell star Andy Halliday.

She regularly shares her outfit choices and shopping hauls with her army of followers on social media (@jillyisabella).

With her famous beau’s wages and her own fashion brand Dula, Jilly has some designer gems in her clothing and accessories collection.

But she still likes to hit the high street for cheaper buys too.

In a recent post, she paired a long-sleeved checked Mango top with black pedal pushers from Topshop and a chained belt from Revolve.

She finished off her Noughties-inspired outfit with kitten heeled mules from ASOS and a vintage designer handbag.

Jilly joked: “I Y2K’d a bit too close to the sun and now I look like I’m a member of Pure and Simple [Hear’Say].

“Do I look like Captain Jack Sparrow? I don’t really know if I’m loving this outfit you guys but it’s all I’ve got to wear.”

Her hilarious try on clip quickly went viral with 144,000 views – with people appearing to have the same reservations about her final look.

“Love you but horrendous [outfit]”, cried a disappointed fan.

Someone else insisted: “It’s giving Internacionale.”

Depending on your age, you may recall the budget fashion retailer, founded in Glasgow, which went bust in 2013.

A third person chimed in: “I love you but just can’t love the outfit – giving me PTSD.”

A fourth echoed: “I love you but this is actual giving me PTSD from my own fashion choices circa 2007.”

A fifth wrote: “Pedal pushers will never ever happen again.”

And a sixth scathingly added: “It’s giving 90s but not in a good way.”

Some fashionistas jumped to Jilly’s defence, however, and insisted the outfit was a Noughties hit.

“Early 2000 romcom vibes I love it”, claimed one.

A second fumed: “People in the comments don’t know fashion because I LOVE THIS.”

A third wrote: “Obsessed with this outfit.”

Meanwhile, a fourth exclaimed: “How do you literally pull off every single outfit there ever was?”

We told earlier how Jilly was branded the “Lidl of WAGs” by a cruel troll.

But the red-haired beauty immediately got the last laugh with her funny comeback.

Replying with her typical humour, Jilly sarcastically hit back: “Do you mean Lidl as in little, like skinny? Wait, do you think I’m really skinny? [screams].”

She added: “Said Lidl like I should be offended???”

Jilly and her footballer hubby Andy had an intimate wedding ceremony with under 30 guests in her parents’ back garden in July.

It comes after the down-to-earth pair made things official at City Chambers in Glasgow and got a lift back to their reception in Jilly’s uncle’s black cab.

And Jilly snubbed a designer wedding dress in favour of a classic frock and white blazer from her own fashion brand Dula.

She completed her outfit with a mini veil and a pair of her mum’s Chanel heels from the 90s which she hailed as her “something borrowed” for the day.
