43-year-old Victorino Sotello Gil of Millersville Road in Taylorsville has been arrested by Statesville Police on felony counts of assault on a law enforcement officer with personal injury, assault on emergency personnel with physical injury (two counts), and assault by strangulation. He was also charged with misdemeanor damage to personal property. Gil was taken into custody on October 8. The charges stem from an incident at a Statesville medical facility.
At last report, Gil remained in the Iredell County Detention Center under a $300,000 secured bond. He’ll appear in Iredell County District Court on October 29.
