After camera operators continued to pick the girl out from the crowd, fans managed to track her down online and find out who she was.

The stunning fan has been identified as University of Arkansas student and Texas native Kiera Mayer.

A post by Barstool Sports on X shared the snap of Kiera at the game, alongside the caption: “We’re all rooting for Texas tonight”.

Unbelievably, that post was viewed 13.8MILLION times and amassed a combined 50,000 interactions on the social media site.

It can’t have been a fun night for Kiera as she watched the Longhorns suffer their first defeat of the season.

And it was certainly a game filled with controversy after Texas were slapped with a $250,000 fine for throwing heaps of trash onto the field.

Texas fans began bombarding the field with trash and water bottles after they were left enraged by a pass interference penalty.

The Longhorns’ faithful fans were reacting after Texas cornerback Jahdae Barron intercepted Georgia QB Carson Beck’s pass and returned the ball to the Bulldog 9-yard line, only to see the play momentarily overturned by a pass interference call.

And the chaos didn’t even come to an end until Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian pleaded with the student section to stop what they were doing and allow the game to continue safely.

After a lengthy delay the SEC officials overturned the penalty and awarded the Longhorns the ball on the 9-yard line – with Texas scoring just two plays later.

Despite ultimately getting their way, UT were hit badly with a $250,000 fine and a sharply worded statement by the SEC.

The statement by SEC commissioner Greg Sankey read: “The throwing of debris and resulting interruption of play that took place Saturday night cannot be part of any SEC event.

“The SEC is assigned responsibility by its membership to enforce its sportsmanship and game management policies and these actions are consistent with that oversight responsibility, including the financial penalty and mandated reviews.

“While the original evaluation and assessment of the penalty was not properly executed, it is unacceptable to have debris thrown on the field at any time.”

The University of Texas at Austin also ensured they released a statement of their own, bashing students and supporters for the “unsportsmanlike conduct” during the game.

And famous Longhorns fan and Hollywood superstar Matthew McConaughey has hit out at his fellow supporters for their actions.

In a social media statement, he wrote: “Let’s continue to bring it. Even though our Horns didn’t get the W, you created a measurable home field advantage.

“But let’s get real about the bottle bombing the field glitch we had. Not cool. Bogey move.

“Yeah, that call was BS, but we’re better than that. Longhorn Nation knows how to show up, show out like no other, and still keep our class.

“So, going forward let’s clean that kind of BS up and leave that behind us for good. We have to shake hands on that.

“Next up, November 9th, when the Gators come to town, let’s make sure they feel the heat, can’t hear the play calls, and burn their timeouts – but remember nothing hits OUR field except that Texas fight.”
