Chris McCausland has revealed the secret signal he gives his partner Dianne Buswell during the Strictly Come Dancing live shows.
The comedian, 47, the show’s first blind contestant, said he will hug Dianne tightly if they survive another week.
And the reason he does this is to give him time to sort out his emotions so he doesn’t cry on TV.
“I’m hugging you so tight at the end to make sure I don’t cry on TV,” he said.
Talking about how the show makes him emotional, he added: “The relief of getting through it, then being so ecstatic at the end and then the audience reaction, it’s a lot, we have little lip wobbles.”

Dianne and Chris keep fans updated every week with a video diary where they talk about their previous performance and how they prepared for the next one.
In a clip shared on Tuesday, Diane said: “We survived another week,” prompting Chris to ask: “Why did we survive another week Di?”
“Because of the lovely people who saved us,” Dianne said, while Chris added: “Because of the generosity of the people out there who picked up their phones.
“They had their thumbs ready and texted, emailed, whatever you do, sent a pigeon out the window with a piece of paper tied to its leg. We’re still here.’
Addressing how Chris was feeling, Dianne said: ‘We need to talk about the emotional side of this, we do.’
“You know how I am today Di,” Chris replied.
Dianne said: ‘So Chris is feeling very emotional today. One thing he does every time is he hugs me so tight at the end because you tell them.”

It comes after Chris hit back at Sir Alan Sugar’s criticism of the show with a scathing comeback.
During Sunday night’s results show, The Apprentice’s Lord Sugar tweeted clearly fed up with the BBC series and what he considered its ‘gimmicks’.
‘I don’t know when Strictly come Dancing will run out of tricks from the contestants. I wouldn’t be surprised if they have a mechanical AI robot next year. @bbcstrictly,” he wrote on X.
Chris, the show’s first blind contestant, quickly chimed in among the deluge of responses, scathingly replying, “I’m sorry my gimmick offends you, oh mighty Lord,” and adding a play on Sugar’s famous Apprentice catchphrase, ” #YoureTired’.
During Saturday night’s show, Anton Du Beke described Chris’s dancing as ‘the most brilliant thing I have ever seen on the show’.

The pro-dancer turned judge said he finds Chris’s dancing “extraordinary” and “phenomenal” as he continues to judge him like any other contestant.
Anton said: ‘I think we already mentioned in week one that he can’t see, but he can dance like that. Now we don’t talk about it because he wants to be judged like everyone else. But I have to tell you, he can’t see it and he’s standing on benches and jumping off things, perfect timing.
“He makes it look a bit easy if I’m honest. It’s just so extraordinary that I find it difficult to put into words how moving it is. And what a job Dianne does, I would have grabbed him and moved aside and I would have gone forward.
‘She said: ‘Go away’. Simply brilliant. Really, the timing is excellent. His sense of rhythm is phenomenal. I have to tell you, I think this is the most brilliant thing I’ve ever seen on Strictly Come Dancing.’
