According to sports analyst Makomborero Mthimukulu on Facebook, Prophet Walter Magaya remains a strong ZIFA candidacy. His post states the other provisions in the constitution that work in the church leader’s favour.
In the post, Mthimukhulu states that a candidate should possess the following:
- At least five years of football administration experience
- 40 years and above in age
- Residing in the country for the past three years.
- 5 O levels or anything equivalent like diploma Certificates, Degrees, and anything equivalent.
Magaya fits these conditions, making him a formidable candidate for the presidency. His ongoing pursuit of leadership remains valid and aligned with the constitutional exceptions, ensuring that the updated rules do not disqualify him from the race.
