Sofia Vergara says she’s “kind of single,” even though she’s been linked to orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman for more than a year.
The America’s Got Talent judge, 52 — who recently performed a busty show in New York City — got candid about her relationship status during an interview with American weekly on Thursday.
When asked if she still thinks New York City is the best place for dating after making the comment earlier this year, the starlet immediately agreed.
‘Absolutely. Actually, I was talking about it yesterday, because now I’m single, so… kind of single. Anyway,” she laughed.
The Modern Family star’s comments come as a surprise as she was recently spotted with her rumored boyfriend during a car ride on Sunday in Los Angeles.

The duo were first linked in October 2023 when they were set up on a blind date by mutual friends. An insider told Life & Style at the time that the orthopedic surgeon impressed Vergara by showing up on their first date with flowers and her favorite champagne.
They were spotted a second time in Santa Monica a month later, leading fans to speculate that they were dating.
Another of their first dates took place at Funke in Beverly Hills, with another source telling People that Sofia was “dating and having fun.”
Weeks later, the Griselda star confirmed their relationship by posting photos of them together during a family vacation in Italy.
Prior to their relationship, Sofia was married to actor Joe Manganiello, 46, for eight years before calling it quits last July.
Saliman is no stranger to dating actresses. He married actress Bree Turner, 47, in 2008. They have a daughter, Stella, 14, and a son, Dean, 12.
Turner filed for divorce in 2018, citing irreconcilable differences.
Saliman – who grew up in Denver, Colorado – received his MD from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and began a sports medicine fellowship at Stanford University.
While in that position, he worked with the San Francisco 49ers and the Stanford and Santa Clara University athletic teams, according to his website.

Early in their relationship, an insider told DailyMail.com exclusively “Justin is absolutely charming and handsome, and has a great job. He is not an actor and has a lot of self-confidence [Sofia] eat it all.”
The source also noted that she is “very attracted to him and that” he is much more than a rebound.
They reportedly “bonded over lost love and are just having a blast with each other.”
