Skeleton craze kicks off in Manitou: Vote for your favorite

(MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo.) — Businesses in Manitou Springs are once again taking part in a unique tradition–Skeleton Craze! The yearly competition sees extravagant and creative window displays, featuring skeletons up to all sorts of mischief, all for some bone-afide prizes.

The 2024 Skeleton Craze consists of over 30 businesses that have contributed to the spooky vibe of Manitou Springs for the Halloween season. During the yearly competition, local businesses decorate their windows with skeletons and are then scored by a panel of judges, and also by the community.

Three businesses will take the top spots, and one will take home the People’s Choice based on votes from the community.

“We want folks to come out and say, ‘hey, that’s my favorite window’ and vote, because these businesses are in it for major prizes from Ace Hardware at our local Uinta Gardens,” said Jenna Gallas with the Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce.

Voting is open through Halloween night, and you can place your vote after picking your favorite window by heading to the Skeleton Craze page on Manitou Springs’ website. Also on the Skeleton Craze page, you’ll find a full list of participating businesses and a map so you don’t miss any of the spooktacular fun.
