FLORISSANT, Mo. – A pedestrian and a dog were killed Saturday morning in a hit-and-run crash in Florissant, authorities say.
Police say the collision happened around 7 a.m. Saturday. Officers responded to the 400 block of Waterford Drive for a report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle that left the scene.
When officers arrived to the scene they found a 62-year-old man laying in the roadway. A deceased dog, believed to belong to the victim, was also found nearby.
Officers are currently investigating this case as a hit-and-run. They ask residents to use an alternate route while the investigation is ongoing.
