A SELF-TITLED veneer specialist has been arrested and accused of practicing for years without a license.

On Thursday, federal agents raided Dillard’s Georgia office A List Smiles Atlanta, and found what appeared to be a normal dental establishment.
However, underneath the standard equipment was a dark secret – Dillard was allegedly putting the safety and health of patients at serious risk with unlicensed services.
“Brandon Dillard is not a dentist. He’s never been a dentist,” Fulton County Deputy District Attorney Will Wooten told ABC affiliate WSB, which first broke the story.
“And as much as he may want to play one on Instagram, he is not one.”
Dillard amassed over 150,000 followers on Instagram by sharing pictures of satisfied customers and offering veneer sweepstakes for $5,500 services.
Just one week ago, he shared a video of a “fabulous smile makeover” that got nearly 1,000 likes.
He also showed off several patients who came in with braces and walked out with veneers.
Plus, his company, A List Smiles, had a website where patients could book appointments or spend an alarming amount of money on whitening products.
Veneers are thin caps placed over teeth to create a whiter, straighter smile.
Because the natural tooth is covered by the veneer, it’s crucial the operation is skillfully performed to protect the bone underneath.
Dillard taught “veneer specialist” classes for those who wanted to start performing the procedures.

A self-titled “veneer specialist,” Dillard consistently posted videos of happy customers showing their bright white smiles.
However, prosecutors claim he did so without the proper licensure and put all of his patients at risk.

According to prosecutors, this certification is completely bogus.
“They were enticing people to come in to take these classes so that you could get rich too,” District Attorney Fani Willis said.
“But you were getting rich doing something that’s completely illegal.”
At first glance, Dillard’s office is completely normal, but prosecutors say this is all part of the scheme.
“If you went to this and you thought it was a dental office and you looked at the equipment, it appears to be legitimate,” Willis said.
“But that’s what the best fraudsters do, is they do everything they can to make themselves look legitimate.”
Dillard practiced dentistry without a license from January 8, 2021, to September 23, 2024, the criminal complaint alleges.
He’s currently behind bars where he faces felony charges for practicing without a license.
Willis is asking any former patients of Dillard to come forward.
Anyone who was trained by Dillard is also in hot water, as they could face charges if they’re practicing without a license.
“We have had dentists not just locally, but from outside of the state, also come and report that they were concerned about their patients who had received services at this location and the long-term effects of damages,” Willis said.
