PAT McAfee sent a message to the NFL after noticing the league has major events on the same day as the presidential election.
The ESPN star, 37, appeared on The Pat McAfee Show on Monday.

McAfee brought on ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter to his hit program.
The duo discussed Kansas City Chiefs star wideout Rashee Rice’s injury situation as the second-year player suffered a potentially season-ending knee injury in the team’s win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4.
Schefter mentioned that the NFL pushed back the trade deadline to after Week 9 for this season before it dawned on him that the November 5 presidential election could land on the same day as the important NFL date.
“They pushed back the trade deadline a week, I think it’s November 3rd this year or whatever that may be,” Schefter told McAfee.
“Wait, is the trade deadline on the same day as the presidential election this year?”
“You would know better than me, pal,” McAfee answered.
“Both those things, you look into a lot more than I do. It sounds like you’re saying yes though.”
Co-host Tone Digs confirmed that the deadline is on the same day as the election, and McAfee was happy with the development.
“Oh I can’t wait!” he exclaimed.
The group then discussed the fact that there will be two Monday Night Football games the day before on November 4.
One of the games will be between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the other contest will be the Miami Dolphins taking on the Los Angeles Rams.
Co-host Boston Connr then shared his belief that the games should take place on November 6 – the day after the election and the trade deadline.
McAfee agreed and that there should be a Wednesday afternoon football game and a Wednesday night football.
“We [could have] two football games we get to look forward to [the day after the election],” the former NFL punter said.

“That is what we need.
“Schedule them!”
Still, Schefter joked about the trade deadline being on the same Tuesday election day.
“It’s nice to know that’s going to be a nice calm day, that Tuesday,” Schefter said.
