An Ohio State spokesperson confirmed the contest will start at 7:30 pm Easetern.

That start time is 30 minutes after the originally announced 7:00 pm kickoff time.

The Peacock-exclusive game takes place in East Lansing and will be the Buckeyes’ first of nine conference regular season games.

The matchup will be called by play-by-play commentator Andrew Siciliano, analyst and college football legend Colt McCoy, and sideline reporter Lewis Johnson.

The game will be the second time an Ohio State game will be televised exclusively by a streaming service.

The first contest broadcasted the Buckeyes’ win last year against the Purdue Boilermakers – a game that was also on Peacock.

Ohio State is coming off a 49-14 victory over Marshall Thundering Herd in Week 4.

The contest concluded non-conference regular season play.

As for Michigan State, they lost for the first time last Saturday as they were beaten 23-19 by Boston College Eagles.

They still have a 3-1 record.

The Spartans are coming off a disappointing 4-8 campaign.

They are led by new head coach Jonathan Smith.

The Buckeyes have a 37-15 record all-time over Michigan State.

The squad hold an eight-game winning streak in their series with the Spartans.

The latest victory was a 38-3 blowout in 2023.

After the Spartans’ home game, they will take on the Oregon Ducks in a Friday night matchup.

The Buckeyes, meanwhile, will return to their home confines for Week 6 when they face the Iowa Hawkeyes.
