(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Southeast Food Coalition will host a new farmers market on Sunday, Oct. 13, in Southeast Colorado Springs.
The market aims to address the area’s lack of access to fresh, local, and healthy food, as Southeast Colorado Springs is considered a food desert. By supporting this event, residents can access locally sourced foods and engage with local farmers and ranchers.
The farmers market event takes place on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 2052 Jetwing Drive, and customers can purchase food from local farmers, ranchers, and food artisans. Two of the vendors will also accept EBT.
