BEEF won eight Emmy Awards, four Critics Choice Awards, three Golden Globe Awards and two SAG Awards.

Now the lead actors have been replaced by stars Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan to take the anthology series to the next level – as well as previously reported Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny.

They will however return to new roles behind the scenes as executive producers alongside Jake Schreier.

The eight-part series follows a young couple as they witness an alarming fight between their boss and his wife.

As the synopsis explains, the event “triggers chess moves of favours and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner”.

Oscar is best known from Scenes From A Marriage and Inside Llewyn Davis, with Carey previously starring Promising Young Woman and Maestro.

BEEF creator Lee Sung Jin explained the main characters were always going to be replaced in the second series.

He said: “We always pitched the season… as an anthology series.

“It was always going to be a new beef, new characters.”

Watch the ten-part series one of the road rage drama on Netflix now.
