NBC broadcaster Cris Collinsworth says ‘It doesn’t look good’ after interaction between CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott

DAK Prescott and CeeDee Lamb appeared to engage in a verbal scuffle during the Dallas Cowboy’s 17-20 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night.

Things seemed to get heated between the pair after Prescott threw an interception into the hands of Steelers cornerback Donte Jackson.

Prescott, 31, threw two interceptions and lost a fumble during the game but still managed to guide his side to victory thanks to game-winning throw with just 20 seconds remaining on the clock.

But before the quarterback was able to pull himself and his team back in the game, he appeared to get some flak from teammate Lamb for undercooking his throw to the receiver in the first half.

With less than a minute remaining in the first half, Prescott tried to find Lamb in the endzone but saw his toss land comfortably in the hands of Donte Jackson instead.

The play led to a heated interaction on the sidelines as cameras caught Lamb shouting over to Prescott on the benches.

It wasn’t clear what the wide receiver had said to his teammate, but NBC announcer Chris Collinsworth claimed “It doesn’t look good”.

Speaking on the broadcast, he said: “Something’s wrong. CeeDee Lamb at the end of that…

“I’ll let you read your own lips. [Speaking] at Dak, Dak doesn’t react at all. It doesn’t look good.”

While Mike Tirico echoed the sentiment, adding: “Not a bit. Not a bit.”

Fans and amateur lip-readers had their ideas of what Lamb may have been saying with many suggesting the 25-year-old said: “Sub par throw, sub par Dak”.

While others suggested that it could have been words of encouragement for the QB who had been struggling in the first half of the game.

Former ESPN commentator Skip Bayless also weighed in on the incident, suggesting that he couldn’t see any reassuring message passed on.

On X, he wrote: “I’m not a great lip reader, so I’m not sure what CeeDee said to Dak on the sideline. But I don’t think it was, ‘Hang in there’.”

Ultimately Prescott was able to get the Cowboys over the line and take them to 3-2 this season by racking up 14 points in the fourth quarter.

Lamb made five catches during the game, receiving for 62 yards and failing to get a touchdown.

The three-time Pro Bowler has had a slow start to the season, scoring just two touchdowns in the opening five games for the Cowboys.

And his uncharacteristically low returns come after a summer of doubt over his future after he sat out most of the off-season in a holdout for a better contract.

Lamb was ultimately handed a whopping $136MILLION deal that ties him to the Cowboys for the foreseeable.

The contract, which gives Lamb $100m in guaranteed money, made the receiver the second highest paid non-quarter-back in NFL history.

While Prescott penned his own $240MILLION four-year contract extension last month, making the star the highest paid player in NFL history.
