Morning fire closes downtown restaurant

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) posted around 6 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, that crews were on the scene of a fire at 132 North Tejon Street, near East Bijou Street, that led to the closing of a downtown restaurant.

According to the Colorado Springs Fire Department, smoke was present throughout a commercial building that houses multiple businesses. Crews found a fire inside a single business at 132 Tejon St., where Bingo Burger is located, and firefighters were able to extinguish the fire.

No one was injured and the CSFD crew remained on the scene to ensure the fire was completely out. No cause has been determined.

Bingo Burger’s Colorado Springs location posted a notification on Facebook that the business was closed on Saturday “due to unforeseen circumstances.” The post went on to say that they would be back as soon as possible and thanked patrons for their patience.
