CHRIS CANTY left the First Take panel including Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim stunned after suggesting the Dallas Cowboys should take the “tank” route for the season.
Speaking on ESPN’s Unsportsmanlike show, Canty made the bold claim that the Dallas Cowboys should tank their season after their record went 2-2.

Former defensive linesman Canty said: “This is a two-team race in the NFC East and it ain’t the Giants and it damn sure ain’t the Cowboys.
“So if that’s the case, then why wouldn’t you lean into the tank?”
This claim, however, left the stars of the First Take panel of Smith, Qerim, Mina Kimes and Dan Orlovsky stunned.
Kimes was particularly dismissive of the idea and spent most of the segment laughing at the suggestion that a team should tank their season in October.
There was even a golden moment where her face said a thousand words about Canty’s declaration,.
Her eyes were seen to be widened with a look of astonishment on her face.
She said: “I know Chris didn’t say a 2-2 team in a winnable division should start tanking week four.
“We must have misheard him, that must have been taken out of context. Right?
“I like Chris, that can’t be his real opinion… It’s October 3rd!”
Kimes added: “What the Dallas Cowboys need to do is build a time machine and go back and address the spine of their defence.
“That is why they’re losing games.
“That is why they won’t be in the Super Bowl.”
She also took to social media, where she said: “It’s October 3rd.”
Reacting to the take and reaction online, one fan said: “Mina is a national treasure lol!”

The Cowboys beat the Cleveland Browns 33-17 in their first game of the season before falling to a 44-19 defeat to the New Orleans Saints.
Game week three saw them lose 28-25 to the Baltimore Ravens before improving to 2-2 against the New York Giants.
They face the Pittsburgh Steelers in game five.
