Michael Keaton addresses men who attend Donald Trump and Elon Musk rallies: ‘They laugh at you’

Michael Keaton, 73, became the latest star to make public his thoughts on the upcoming presidential election between Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump in an Instagram clip on Tuesday

With election season in full swing, Michael Keaton became the latest star to make public his thoughts on the upcoming presidential election between Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump.

The Beetlejuice Beetlejuice actor, 73, took to Instagram on Tuesday with a short clip in which he touted the former president’s alliance with billionaire Elon Musk, 53, and said rallygoers were misled into thinking both men would want to hang out with them.

“For some of you out there – guys especially, I think – who are thinking about attending a meeting with Musk and Trump, they don’t really respect you,” the Oscar-nominated star said in the clip.

The Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, resident — who said last month he was considering changing his name — added, “They’re laughing at you behind your back, they think you’re stupid.”

Keaton, who played Batman in 1989’s Batman and 1992’s Batman Returns as well as last year’s The Flash, said neither Trump nor Musk have much appreciation for the working class who support them.

“They don’t want to hang out with you, they have nothing in common with you – they’re not your brothers,” the Multiplicity actor said.

Keaton cited a 2016 quote from Trump about his continued popularity in an attempt to support his point.

“I’m telling you, when Trump said – years ago, I think – ‘I could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and they would still vote for me,’ what he’s really saying, by the way, is that these people are so stupid. they are so stupid, they would still vote for me.’

The Paper actor concluded his political statement by saying of Trump and Musk, “They have no respect for you, believe me.”

Musk made headlines with his animated antics on stage in Butler, Pennsylvania with Trump at a rally on October 5, when he jumped into the air in support of the former commander in chief.

Keaton has expressed his support for the Harris-Tim Walz ticket through his social media pages, and also appeared at a rally in Pittsburgh for the Democratic nominees in September, WPXI reported.

He appeared in one YouTube advertisement released Tuesday, aimed at voters in Western Pennsylvania.

“You know what, this is going to be really scary, me? If he gets elected, there’s a good chance I’ll be fine. The middle class is not going to do well,” Keaton said. ‘And when you’re young, things certainly won’t turn out well. I’m telling you, it’s going to be bad.”
