29-year-old James Holland Helms of Winding Cedar Drive in Maiden was arrested Thursday (September 26) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, assault on an individual with a disability, communicating threats, damage to personal property and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Probation & Parole charged Helms with misdemeanor probation violation. Helms was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $40,000 bond, a District Court date is November 12.
