MAFS bride slammed for ‘insanely gross’ comment to husband after he breaks down in tears in front of her

A MARRIED At First Sight bride has been blasted as “insanely gross” after her insensitive comments towards her spouse.

Businesswoman Richelle, 48, has previously been called out by E4 fans for bluntly urging groom Orson to “get over” his previous heartache – leaving him in tears after he revealed he was cheated on five years ago.

The dad of one broke down on their honeymoon at her reaction when he disclosed he had been cheated on[/caption]

Yet after the pair spent time catching up with their close mates in the latest Married At First Sight episodes, her suspicions of Orson, 41, faking his feelings again raised their head.

Richelle walked out of their honeymoon in explosive scenes after suggesting the former cricketer and project engineer – who models and acts in his spare time – was playing out a narrative.

And after some stark words from her pal, she again had a bee in her bonnet.

As the pair returned to their apartment she sat on the sofa with a glass of wine for a de-brief.

She told how her doubts centred on the dad’s “emotional resilience” before she snipped: “Yes you do have an idea, don’t act like you don’t have an idea.

“This is the thing with you, you just chat so much s**t.

“‘You don’t have an idea’ we literally talked about it now you’re acting like you don’t have an idea.”

As he urged her to “say it” and spell out her views she retorted: “Say what?

“You’re just a gaslighter, you’re just embarrassed.”

As he asked: “Embarrassed about what?” she continued: ‘Because you ran with a storyline which I thought was exceptionally lame and put me off you.

“What do you think your boys are going to say when you’re sitting on TV crying about being cheated on five years ago.

“So why are you now pretending you don’t know what any of this is about?

“This is the thing you’re not consistent Orson.

“But now you’ll sit here and say you don’t know what any of this is about.

Mafs couples that have stood the test of time

Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.

The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.

Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.

Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.

Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”

Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.

Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.

“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.

“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’

“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”

Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.

Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.

They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.

Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”

“I can’t play this game I’m too old for it,’ before storming out.

In a piece to camera Orson looked exasperated.

He candidly said: “I really don’t see the big hoo haa because I have been nothing but myself.

“If she can’t get rid of those things out of her head, I can’t help her.”

Fans were quick to react to the spat on X, with one viewer writing: “Such an insanely gross thing to say.”

Another directed their comment towards Richelle and put: “The way you speak to Orson is absolutely vile. No compassion at all.”

A third then noted: “His emotions is the reason people don’t speak up.

“Surely you should know to use your words better with nearly half a century on this earth.”

PAST FORM

Richelle previously left Orson in tears during their picture-perfect Maldives getaway.

In her own piece to camera, Richelle made a series of cutting remarks, again leaving fans baffled by her lack of empathy.

She said: “If you can’t get over being cheated on five years ago then pfft.

“What the hell. Five – do you know how long five years is?”

This led one fan on X to remark: “Richelle is brutal,” as another posted: “Very brutal. It takes as long as it takes. She’s also showing damage from her past. We all do.”
