Local Bands to Perform in Benefit Concert for Storm Victims

The local band 20/20 will perform as part of a benefit concert on Saturday, November 2, at the Sandbar Marina & Grill on Lake Hickory. Donations will go to Samaritan’s Purse for those affected by Tropical Storm Helene. 20/20 will play from 5-to-7 p.m. Also on the bill are Zeveride (noon-to-2 p.m.) and Grandma’s Medicine (2:30-to-4:30 p.m.). The event’s organizers are requesting donations in the form of checks made out to Samaritan’s Purse.

20/20 is a rock, pop, blues, and country cover band founded in 2008 in the Hickory area. Most of its members are local eye surgeons. Zeveride is a blues, classic rock, southern rock, cover, and tribute band from Connelly Springs. Grandma’s Medicine was formed in 2017 in Morganton. They play an eclectic mix of music from the ’50s through the early 2000s.

The Sandbar Marina & Grill is located at 3210 Rink Dam Road in Taylorsville. The venue has over 40 boat slips and is accessible by water. Visit sanbarmarinagrill.com for more information.
