KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) — As a part of Operation Airdrop, a Lenoir County Commissioner will be flying his private plane to Asheville Wednesday morning.
“Helping others and giving to those in their time of need has never cost me a thing,” Rouse said.
Eric Rouse is loading his plane with essential supplies at 10 a.m. and will be taking off by 10:30.
“Being a lifelong lover and advocate of flying helps me combine my passions into one. It’s the least we can do to help those in Western North Carolina who have also helped us in Eastern North Carolina through difficult times,” said Rouse.
Operation Airdrop is utilizing private pilots from all over the Southeast as a response to Hurricane Helene.
