LeBron James approves Bronny’s move to G League after son is called ‘worst pick’ following LA Lakers start

DESPITE a stellar start to the season, the Los Angeles Lakers are prepping to move Bronny James to the G League.

Bronny and LeBron James made history as the first father-son duo in the NBA, but that isn’t enough to keep Bronny around.

Bronny has only appeared in one game this season, playing three minutes and tallying one assist.

He has yet to score a point for the Lakers, and he might not get the chance to do so.

The Lakers have a plan in place to move Bronny to their G League affiliate after their current road trip.

They will play five games on the road before Bronny goes to the South Bay Lakers while his dad returns to Los Angeles.

NBA commentator Skip Bayless broke the news in a tweet on Saturday.

“Lakers say Bronny will accompany LeBron on the upcoming 5-game road trip, then go back and forth to the G League when the Lakers return,” he wrote.

“I’ll believe it when I see it. Hard to believe LeBron wants his namesake on the South Bay Lakers.

“But for now it sounds good.”

Bronny clearly isn’t ready for full-time play on the Lakers, and he was one of the most scrutinized draft picks this year.

His college stats were nothing special, only averaging 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.

Regardless, he was drafted with the 55th pick in the draft this year.

Fans have been extremely critical of the choice that the Lakers made in the draft, and are sharing their opinions on social media.

“Bronny was a waste of draft pick,” one fan said.

“Should have been in the G League to start,” another fan said.

“He does need to improve his game. The team needs him to be more confident in himself,” a third fan said.

What the new TV deal means for the NBA?

By The U.S. Sun’s Assistant Sports Editor Damian Burchardt.

THE new TV rights deal is promising to be a humongous win for NBA players.

The league is set to more than double the revenue coming from its media partners, pocketing about $6.9 billion per year, which will inevitably lead to a huge salary cap spike in 2025-26.

That is going to send the value of player contracts skyrocketing.

Projected figures suggest we might see the first $100 million-per-year deal being signed soon.

Currently, Boston Celtics All-Star Jayson Tatum is projected to earn the highest single-season salary in NBA history, collecting $71.5 million in 2029-30.

If TNT Sports successfully matches one of the offers to maintain its decades-long partnership with the league, hoops fans will be on the winning side too.

The network’s flagship, Inside the NBA, is a one-of-a-kind sports entertainment show, as evidenced by ESPN’s ongoing failure to come up with its own version of the program in recent years.

The NBA wouldn’t be the same without Kenny and Ernie trying to make sense of Shaq and Chuck’s never-ending bickering every Tuesday night.

“Bronny has to figure out what type of player he is going to be,” a fourth fan said.

“Bronny is nowhere near nba ready,” a fifth fan said.

While Bronny may not be ready now, he has shown some flashes of his talent in the preseason.

In the final game of the preseason, he scored 17 points with four rebounds and three steals.

The Lakers have faith in his ability, Bronny just needs some time to grow into an NBA-caliber player.
