The Chiefs took home a 27-20 win on Sunday against the Raiders, and Thuney got a shoutout on the broadcast.
The shoutout wasn’t for his efforts on the offensive line though, it was for the massive hole in his pants.
At some point in the game, with the Chiefs leading 20-13, Thuney must have gotten tangled up with a defender to tear his pants.
Play-by-play broadcaster Kevin Harlan pointed this out in his commentary during the game.
“Thuney’s got some torn trousers,” he said to fans.
NFL fans got a good laugh out of Thuney’s torn up pants and shared on social media.
“Joe Thuney showing off the cheeks,” one fan said.
“Joe Thuney doesn’t realize that his trousers are ripped,” another fan said.
“OPS. hahaaha how did that happened?” a third fan said.
“Working hard,” a fourth fan said.
“Fortunately for viewers and spectators alike, Joe Thuney seems to be wearing something underneath his uniform pants lol,” a fifth fan said.
While Thuney may have felt more of a breeze on his thigh, the torn pants didn’t stop him from protecting Patrick Mahomes and getting the win for the Chiefs.
Mahomes had a great day behind Thuney, passing for 262 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.
Travis Kelce had his best game of the season as well, catching 10 passes for 90 yards and his first touchdown of the season.
Wide receiver Xavier Worthy and running back Kareem Hunt both scored touchdowns on the day as well.
