Jennifer Lopez is planning a major career comeback in 2025 after Ben Affleck broke her heart in 2024.
‘She wants next year to be her best year ever and show the world that her bad love life hasn’t let her down. She will rise,” a friend told DailyMail.com.
The 55-year-old star will make two big moves in the new year related to raising her profile, a source said.
The Bronx-born beauty will campaign for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role as a hardworking mother in the film Unstoppable.
In a sweet twist, Affleck is one of the film’s producers, along with his friend Matt Damon. The source added that Ben and Matt will support her as she tries to seduce the Academy.
And Lopez will also embark on her Greatest Hits tour in the summer of 2025, after canceling it this year due to her split from Affleck.

Although Jennifer had a fantastic 2024 with her career – Atlas was a huge success – she was cast in a negative light after ending her marriage to Ben.
The two separated in April and she filed for divorce on August 20, their two-year wedding anniversary.
She was portrayed as the one with the problem after so many marriages failed: her husbands included Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, Marc Anthony and Ben. She was also engaged to Alex Rodriguez.
Sources tell DailyMail.com that Jennifer wants to star in 2025.
“She wants an Oscar for Unstoppable,” a source told DailyMail.com.
“She’s sensational in it, I saw the movie and wow, she does a good job. I think a lot of people have underestimated her acting skills because she is such a glamorous woman, but this film is a wake-up call, like: guys, she can act really well.’
And Lopez is very focused on getting an Oscar this time around because she was upset that she didn’t get one for Hustlers, which she has been very vocal about.

‘There is hope that she will get the gold for Unstoppable.
“It helps that she is now seen as a victim in the Affleck split. I think voters now want to give her the prize, they think she has been through a lot.’
Then there’s the new tour.
“When Jen canceled her tour earlier this year, it was with the intention of doing so in 2025, so that’s been on the books for a while.
“It’s definitely going to be a Greatest Hits tour with all the razzle-dazzle. She will put on all these sexy outfits and look amazing.”
And some A-listers may show up on certain nights.
‘She cleverly brings some big names on stage to liven it up. They are now working on bringing in some hot singers,” the insider said.

Her film Kiss Of The Spider Woman is also scheduled for 2025. It’s a musical in which she stars and helped produce with Affleck.
Kiss of the Spider Woman is an adaptation of the 1993 Broadway musical by John Kander, Fred Ebb and Terrence McNally, which was in turn based on the 1976 novel by Manuel Puig.
The story was previously adapted for a 1985 film starring William Hurt, Raul Julia and Sônia Braga.
Variety confirmed Lopez’s casting in December 2023. The film was shot in New Jersey from April to June this year.
Jennifer plays Aurora, a fantasy woman conjured up by Luis Molina, a gay hairdresser imprisoned in Argentina around 1981, along with Valentin Arregui Paz, a Marxist.
Molina dreams of Aurora in classic films, including her role as a spider woman.
