Janna Mead-Rast passed away Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, in Longview, Texas.
Services for Janna Lynn Mead-Rast, 45, of Gladewater, Texas, were held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Stewart Family Funeral Home in Tyler, Texas, with Pastor Barb Joy officiating.
She was born January 20, 1979, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Richard A. Mead and Connie Loraine Joy Mead.
Janna was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist Church in Correctionville, Iowa. She graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in Des Moines, Iowa and attended Western Iowa Technical College in Sioux City. She worked with her parents at their store, C R Scrubs, for the past 23 years.
Janna was preceded in death by two infant brothers, Jory and Justin, and grandparents Roger and Evelyn Mead and Ford and Fern Joy. Janna is survived by her loving family, including her parents, husband Daniel Keith Rast, son Declan Aaron Nicholas Rast, brother Jason, sisters-in-law Kathy Mead and Tabatha Rast, mother-in-law Linda Rast, brother-in-law Jeremy Rast, nieces Stephanie Mead and Jade Eddings, and nephews Ryan Mead, Trevor Mead, David Eddings, and Jery Rast
