I’ve spent £300k on surgery but having a makeup & filler detox at 47 like Pamela Anderson – my skin’s never been better

A WOMAN has revealed why she’s ditching makeup and filler despite forking out £300k on surgeries.

47-year-old influencer Carmen Reis went through a radical glow down inspired by the Baywatch star and says she’s never felt better.

Carmen decided to reverse a series of cosmetic procedures, seeking a 100% natural look. She has already reversed fillers in her butt and lips and recently underwent facial disharmony.

For the first time ever, the influencer posed with no make-up online revealing her marks and wrinkles which she’s learned to love.

She says: “It’s a way of self-knowledge, of seeing and accepting your wrinkles and imperfections without fear. I’m rediscovering myself and I feel better this way, more connected to who I really am.”

Pamela Anderson, 57, sent shock waves through the world after she appeared at Paris Fashion Week last year without a scrap of make-up on.

While people were left stunned at first it seems many people have been inspired to step out in their own skin, including Carmen.

Now, Carmen vows to pose without her make-up on social media and has removed her filler so that her followers can also familiarize themselves with her new image.

“It’s funny to think that makeup can make us unrecognisable. I’m posting photos without makeup and without filters so that my followers can get used to me on social media and on the street,” she explains.

Carmen noted that not only does she feel like she is showing up as her true self – but that her skin has been left glowing.

She highlighted the benefits of the change for her skin: “I’ve noticed an incredible improvement in my skin since I stopped wearing makeup.

“My skin breathes, it’s healthier, and I feel more confident.”

Carmen Reis invested around 300 thousand pounds in cosmetic procedures to transform her body and shine on the street.

However, she decided to reverse all of them when she realised that she no longer felt like herself.

“I was changing too much, I didn’t recognise myself in the mirror. The pressure was too much,” she reveals.

Among the changes, Carmen removed the fillers in her butt and started going to the gym to improve the sagging skin naturally.

Pamela Anderson on going make-up free

The 57-year-old actress went viral last year for heading to Paris Fashion Week wearing no make-up and she revealed it was no publicity stunt.

“I don’t think you should give me the credit of it being a stunt, because that’s not how I think,” Anderson, told Allure.

“I’m not into the makeup look right now,” she told Vogue. “My mum always told me, ‘At some point in your life, you’re not going to want to wear makeup on your skin,’ and she’s right. You kind of have to challenge beauty sometimes.”

Pamela added that she hopes that by not wearing makeup she can help model the multitude of ways women can express themselves.

“I’m not trying to be the prettiest girl in the room,” she said. “I feel like it’s just freedom. It’s a relief.”

Another procedure that was reversed was lip fillers. “My lips were too exaggerated. I decided to undo everything,” she shares.

More recently, she opted for facial disharmony, a procedure that is becoming increasingly common among celebrities. “Now, finally, I feel the same way,” says Carmen.

But Pamela isn’t the only one embracing the natural look – social media videos of ‘clean girl aesthetic’ have gone viral.

The term clean girl aesthetic refers to a beauty, fashion, and lifestyle trend based around a look that’s intended to appear elegantly casual but also minimalist and effortless.

Many woman opt for hairstyles that are out of the face and minimal makeup such as grooming the brows and wearing tinted moisturise for a no make-up look.
