I’m a dog trainer and there’s three breeds that are so hard to train – a popular pooch is awful, just give up

A DOG trainer has revealed the three breeds which are the hardest to train, including a popular pooch which he said to “just give up” on.

Speaking on behalf of dog behavioural experts, @cherryhoggs, the trainer explained that some breeds are not suitable for first time and inexperienced owners, as they require a lot of work.

Basset Hound

Taking to TikTok, the trainer revealed that he has trained over 2000 dogs and said that Basset Hounds are always the trickiest to train.

“They are awful to train, they’re so stubborn”, he said.

Basset Hounds are generally very friendly dogs, however, they can suffer from separation anxiety, which can lead to destructive chewing or excessive barking.

They can also show aggression towards other dogs and people, which often stems from fear or territorial behaviour.

Beagle

The trainer also revealed that Beagles are extremely difficult to train.

“Just give up”, he said.

“They are just the hardest dogs to train.

Beagles need to live on a farm, the trainer revealed[/caption]

He explained that if the dogs live on a 200 acre piece of land on a farm they are the “perfect dog”, but added that apart from that, they will have lots of behavioural issues.

Little Dogs

The trainer revealed that any small dogs, such as Chihuahuas or Terriers are difficult to train.

“The most stubborn and the most hard to train are always the little dogs”, he said.

He explained that owners often baby the dogs and cradle them, due to their small size, which make them spoiled.

“They start to throw their toys out of the pram and won’t take no for an answer”, he said.

The trainer’s video has likely struck a chord with many people, as it has racked up over 4.6 million views over the video sharing platform.

TikTok users raced to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts, with many disagreeing with the trainer’s comments.

One person said: “Little dogs are super easy.

“Maybe you just don’t like little dogs?”

A second person said: “Start training your small dog from day one and treat them like a dog, and you’ll have a great small dog.”

A third person said: “I had a Jack Russell Beagle cross who was the most amazing dog ever.

“He was a dream to train and so amazing.”
