I thrifted a $10 designer brand among the white sneakers on the rack – it’s ‘Supreme’ and sells for $950

A LUCKY thrifter has secured a pair of designer sneakers for just $10.

The find was exceedingly rare, as the footwear typically retails for several hundred dollars.

“I’ve never seen these before,” wrote the thrifter, Sole Loco, in a reel posted on Facebook recently.

He could be seen walking toward a small wire rack, where he immediately spotted the white shoes with “Supreme” on the sides in red.

“No way, they got the Yeezys?” the thrifter asked in disbelief.

“I didn’t even know Yeezy and Supreme did a collaboration.”

Yeezy is a luxury clothing, footwear, and media brand.

It was founded in 2013 by rapper Kanye West in partnership with Adidas.

Adidas later terminated its contract with West in 2022.

Supreme is a skateboard and streetwear brand founded in New York City in 1994 and closely follows prominent fashion and hip-hop trends.

POTENTIAL VALUE

While familiar with the brands, Sole Loco never recalled an announced partnership between Supreme and Yeezy.

Not only that, but the price for the pair he found was only $10.

“These either gotta be unreleased or foo-foo for only $10,” Sole Loco told viewers.

While the Adidas collaboration with Yeezy ended in 2022, the company sold its remaining existing products, and many websites like StockX provide a platform for sneaker enthusiasts to resell them.

The original Yeezy Boost 350 V2 sneakers without the Supreme collaboration are selling for over $950 online, per a recent listing.

It’s unclear if the Supreme variation would add to that value or not if Sole Loco were to resell them.

Valuable thrifting finds revealed

Here are some of the best thrift store finds:

NIKE NOTICED

He’s not the first sneaker-head to find valuable shoes worth hundreds of dollars while thrifting this year.

While browsing at Goodwill this fall, another thrifter managed to locate a rare and highly sought-after pair of Nike sneakers.

They were the Nike Olivia Kim x Air Force 1 ’07 FF Betty Boops, selling for just $29.99 when they typically go for about $1,469.

The FF stands for “Friends & Family” in the Olivia Kim collaboration.

A Betty Boop embroidery could be seen near the heel of each shoe, with an all-white swoosh and sole paired with silver accents.

The pair became famous after rapper Lil Uzi Vert was seen wearing them in the music video for “Adderall (Corvette Corvette) Remix.”

That’s on top of the Nike Air Force 1’s already being a staple for sneaker-heads since 1982.

They were originally worn by basketball players in the NBA but quickly became more of a lifestyle sneaker.

Nike has changed its design since the 80s to include mesh and suede for more comfort and durability.
