A MONEY-SAVVY shopper was delighted when she found Amazon’s Kids’ Kindle being sold out at a heavily discounted price.
She revealed how she was able to get the offer despite the gadget not being on the shelves at her local Target.

Deeva (@deevathelibra) is steadily growing her following on TikTok, where she shares her passion for books.
She unexpectedly went viral on the social media app when she shared a shopping trip urging viewers to “run, don’t walk to Target for a $35 Kindle.”
“A little birdie told me, as in a video that I saw on TikTok that Target is selling the Kids’ Kindle at a really discounted price of $35,” Deeva said.
“Of course, I drove here because I had to see if it’s true.”
She looked in good spirits as she walked through the aisles to the display of Kindles.
However, it wasn’t as easy as just picking one up from the shelf to get the affordable price.
“I actually jumped a little bit for joy when they brought it out of the back because there were none on the shelf and I had to enquire a bit further,” she said.
“So I guess I’m a Kindle girlie now.”
Deeva described the purchase as an “early birthday gift” to herself and gushed that it isn’t majorly different from a regular Kindle.
“The Kids’ Kindle also comes with a free year of a kid’s book subscription + a two-year warranty if you choose to buy it (Kindle basic has 1),” she said.
Almost 33,000 people liked the video and many viewers said they were going to search for the item at their own local Target stores.
“Not me hitting up every Target on the California coast today on my way home from a road trip!” one person said.
“I was just at Target OMG I’m going to go back tomorrow,” another commented.
“I left my Kindle on an airplane in August and have been putting off getting another one, but I’m on my way to Target now anyway sooo lol,” a third wrote.
The Amazon Kindle Kids 6″ e-Reader shown in Deeva’s video was $119.99 online at Target before it sold out.
The gadget is designed for kids aged three to 12 and has no apps, videos, or games as it aims to encourage children to read.
It comes with 16GB of storage for books and a high-res screen that can be adjusted for reading in light and dark mode.
