UNSIGHTLY spots of mould were prevented from spreading on a homeowner’s walls using a bargain buy.
Toni shared the cleaning hack that she swears is more effective than bleach.

Toni (@ToniInterior) has garnered over 49,000 subscribers on YouTube, where she shares home vlogs.
She unexpectedly went viral on the platform when she posted a YouTube Short revealing how to get rid of mould.
Black spots seemed to be rapidly spreading from the lower corner of two walls in her home.
“Spray the mould with white vinegar, don’t use bleach!” read the text over the video.
She showed herself using a bottle bought from Wilko for just £1.19.
The multi-surface cleaner is advertised as leaving a “streak-free finish” when used on mirrors and glass.
It can also be used to remove laundry stains and limescale.
Toni recommended wearing gloves when using white vinegar and leaving it to sit on mouldy spots for an hour before wiping it clean.
“Spray again to ensure you’ve killed the mould and leave overnight,” she said.
The wall was free from mould but to keep it from returning she covered the area using a specialist paint.

“Paint where the mould was, you don’t need to paint the entire wall,” Toni said.
She added that if choosing to paint the full wall the first coat of anti-mould paint needs to be left to dry for a couple of days first.

Toni told viewers white vinegar “kills the mould completely,” while bleach only temporarily removes black spots.
What is mould and how to get rid of it?
Mould is more likely to grow during the winter months.
