Speaking on the Parenting Hell podcast, she recounted the experience to hosts Josh Widdicombe and Rob Beckett

Daisy explained that the trip took place before she gave birth to her youngest child, who is now four months.

Along with her partner, she decided to take her two children and her two step-children on a family trip.

Reflecting on the holiday, Daisy described the ordeal as a “big mistake.”

She explained that they had decided to invest in a caravan for family holidays.

“There was a caravan for £3,000 and we thought: ‘Oh, we’ll take them in a f**king caravan holiday,’” she told listeners.

“And it was an absolute disaster because we didn’t put the legs down on it.”

This wasn’t the only issue facing the family as they embarked on life on the road.

Daisy revealed that they had only brought one iPad on the trip with them.

To add to the limited resources for her screen-keen children, she explained that patchy 4G coverage was also a problem.

“There was a certain place in the back of the caravan that you could get 4G,” she said.

“So all four of them piled down to the bed.”

However, the lack of an individual screen time soon became a point of contention for the family.

“The problem was when we took them away, all they want to do is watch f**king YouTube and they’ve all got specific things [they want to watch],” Daisy explained.

She summed up the caravan holiday as “an absolute f**king nightmare.”

Daisy May Cooper’s family

Daisy married her long-term partner Will Weston in September 2019. Together they share daughter Pip, born in 2018, and son Jack Michael, born in 2020.

The couple separated in July 2021.

After her divorce, Daisy met her now boyfriend Anthony Huggins, who she shares her four-moth-old son Benji with. Through this relationship, she also acts as a step-mum to Anthony’s older children.

“We only went on one trip and the caravan is still sat on the f**king gravel and it’s not moved,” she said.

Daisy added that each of the children “hated” the “horrendous” family trip.

Ironically, Daisy had been influenced to buy the 2002 caravan after watching YouTube clips of families “doing the whole rural thing.”

However, she soon learned that the lifestyle was not as easy and care-free as it had appeared.

“I thought ‘Oh, this will be great’ but to be honest, it was all about buying the bits, basic bits [like] the cutlery.”
