When asked why he continues to work, the actor said: ‘I get essential human contact from it.

The father-of-five, who has been married to his third wife, actress Calista Flockhart, for 14 years, has previously admitted he has always put his career first.

He said: ‘I’ve been out of town most of my life – I’d probably be a better parent if I had a less successful career.’

It comes as Harrison Ford, 82, and his wife Calista Flockhart, 59, radiated marital bliss during the season two premiere of his show Shrinking.

The Apple TV+ sitcom is led by Forgetting Sarah Marshall star Jason Segel, who plays a recently widowed therapist trying to cope with his loss.

One of the key supporting players is Harrison, who plays an elderly therapist suffering from Parkinson’s disease.

Season two will air its first two episodes on the streaming platform on October 16 – preceded by a glamorous premiere in West Hollywood next Tuesday.

During the star-studded event, which was held at the Pacific Design Center on Melrose Avenue, Harrison and Calista hugged for the cameras.

The Star Wars icon was classically elegant in a black suit, paired with a charcoal shirt that he wore without a tie, with a nod to Californian chic.

Meanwhile, Calista, who recently played Jacqueline Kennedy’s sister Lee Radziwill in the Ryan Murphy series Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans themselves were the epitome of style.

She draped her slender body in a flowing black dress, which was pleated and pulled tight to emphasize her enviably slim waist.

The Birdcage actress wore her brown hair down and accentuated her unmistakable features with makeup for her last night out on the town.

After standing in front of the photographers with his wife, Harrison could also be seen mugging up for the cameras with his co-star Jason.

Jason opted for a midnight blue suit with a complementary blue and white pocket square, paired with a white shirt with the top button open.

In a charming group photo, Harrison was sandwiched between Jason and their co-star Jessica Williams, who plays another therapist in Shrinking.

Veteran comedy actress Christa Miller, who fans will recognize from Scrubs and The Drew Cary Show, was also in attendance at the premiere.
