The North Carolina High School Athletic Association has finalized the 2024 Women’s Tennis Dual Team Playoff brackets for the four classifications.
Area teams representing the Hickory Metro in the playoffs with first round opponents, include:
1A Class
North Carolina School of Science and Math – Morganton hosting Elkin
Draughn travels to Polk County
2A Class
Bandys at Trinity
Maiden goes to North Surry
Newton-Conover hosting Community School of Davidson
3A Class
Fred T. Foard goes to Northwest Cabarrus
Hickory is at Kings Mountain
St. Stephens travels to North Buncombe
4A Class
Alexander Central is at Grimsley
South Caldwell travels to T.C. Roberson
The first round is scheduled for Monday, October 21 for the 2A, 3A and 4A tournaments. The 1A tournament will begin on Wednesday, October 23.
Second Round – October 23
Third Round – October 28
Fourth Round – October 30
Regional Championships – November 5
State Championships – November 9
The four state championship matches will be held at the Burlington Tennis Center.
