Controversial ZANU-PF politician Dexter Nduna has been denied bail by the Chegutu Magistrates’ Court earlier today.
Nduna appeared at the Chegutu Magistrates’ Court charged with fraud.
The National Prosecuting Authority confirmed the latest court update:
“Dexter Taona Nduna (53), who is appearing before the Chegutu Magistrates’ Court on fraud charges, has been denied bail.”
Nduna will spend the next two weeks in jail and appear in court on 29 October 2024.

What Did The Former Legislator Do?
Dexter Nduna, a former Chegutu West MP and current chairperson for resource mobilisation and revenue generation for ZANU-PF in the Central Committee, was recently arrested on fraud charges.
The arrest occurred in Chegutu, where Nduna was accused of unlawfully collecting parking fees from motorists.
Nduna allegedly misled the public into believing that a company associated with him, Team Chapter, had the legal authority to collect parking fees in Chegutu. According to the state prosecutor, Nduna falsely claimed to act on behalf of the Chegutu municipality. He demanded cash payments from motorists for parking services, which he had no legal right to collect.
The arrest occurred after motorists reported the fraudulent activities to the authorities. Nduna was taken into custody and appeared before a magistrate in Chegutu, where he faced the fraud charges.
