For that reason, it is called Dhanteras or Dhantrayodashi. Lord Dhanvantari is also considered one of the incarnations of Lord Vishnu. On this particular day, special significance of worship is given and people buy different metals like gold, silver, and utensils. It is believed that shopping done on that day enhances the wealth of any person.
Dhanteras in the year 2024 will be celebrated on 29 October (Tuesday). Trayodashi Tithi starts on 29 October at 10:31 am and ends on 30 October at 1:15 pm. According to the Udaya Tithi this time, it would be more auspicious to celebrate Dhanteras on 29th October.
