Ahoi Ashtami is observed every year on Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. Asstami Tithi is said to be very auspicious and this festival gives a special importance to mother. The date this year for Ahoi Ashtami will begin at 1:18 am on October 24 and continue till 1:58 am on October 25. Good time for puja is from 5:42 pm to 6:58 pm. Fasting ends only after the sight of the moon.
While offering the bhog, he should use clean utensils, make it fresh and tasty. After performing puja, share the bhog within family members. While performing aarti, he should maintain pure thoughts in the mind.
